Team Secretary Job
If you enjoy working in a busy and dynamic environment, can keep a cool head under pressure and are able to prioritise and juggle different tasks at the same time, then you might just have what it takes to become a team secretary.
As a team secretary you will typically look after more than one person and unlike a general secretary or PA, you will support an entire group of executives. Often this means that you are more integrated into the wider team and your tasks may cover a wider scope of duties and requests.
To succeed in the role of team secretary you will need a similar skillset to general secretaries, including solid IT proficiency, typing, organisational skills, communication and team working skills, however, as you will be supporting multiple members of the team, you need to gain a good overview of the intricacies and responsibilities of each one, in addition to a good insight into the company dynamics as a whole.
To qualify for the job of team secretary, candidates must have a positive can-do attitude, be flexible and adaptable, as well as being able to stay calm under pressure. Formal qualifications are not mandatory if the right candidate can demonstrate the above skills, however professional secretarial qualifications such as an NVQ or National Diploma in Business Administration, OCR Certificates or equivalent would be advantageous.
