deverellsmith are working with a Real Estate Investment Trust to source an Asset Manager. Our client invests in a diversified portfolio of UK wide healthcare real estate assets, in particular residential care homes.
The role will suit a dynamic individual with commercial acumen and good negotiation skills. Ideally the candidate will have had practical experience working within a healthcare or operational environment as either an operator or developer. Able to work well under pressure, needs a keen eye for detail and be adaptable to team work as well as solo tasks.
MAIN DUTIES
- Lead on ongoing review of portfolio to classify core, non-core and value add assets
- Prepare asset management strategy plans in conjunction with operator partners (tenants)
- Identify suitable refurbishment and extension opportunities and undertake financial viability appraisals
- Obtain agreement from operator partners (tenants)
- Instruct and manage relevant professionals to prepare feasibility studies and costings
- Negotiate heads of terms with operator partners
- Manage legal due diligence, funding negotiations and the documentation of all relevant agreements
- Present asset management opportunities to investment committee and board
- Prepare quarterly reports on asset performance reviews and communicate with senior management in a concise and timely manner
- Planning, monitoring and delivering reinvestment/planned works programmes
- Assess new acquisitions for asset management opportunities
- Relationship management with operator partners (tenants)
TO BE CONSIDERED
- MRICS qualified
- Experience in real estate asset management in the UK, preferably with a focus on the health care industry
- Able to work remotely and travel across UK with occasional overnight stays
