Assistant Asset Manager; Client Side

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

London, travel required

deverellsmith have partnered with a boutique real estate development company to source a junior level surveyor to assist the in-house Asset Manager. Our client carries out acquisitions, property development and investment; with a passion for design and creation, integrating architectural plans with sustainability to deliver the very best in property development.

This is an exciting opportunity to join their impressive team of experts who have a strong company ethos of delivering luxury developments that are beautifully finished by managing the entire process from site procurement to handover.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending and inspecting the portfolio on a regular basis
  • Identifying, recording and reporting on asset issues and works progress attained from asset and site inspections
  • Assisting the Asset Management and Investment Teams in developing asset strategies, value add initiatives and ESG initiatives for each asset
  • Assisting on the cash flow management for the portfolio and reporting the Accounts Team in a timely manner
  • Monitoring of the rent movement and arrears position of each asset
  • Liaising with external consultants including, managing agents, solicitors, contractors and other required consultants where appropriate
  • Assisting in the review and development of service charge budgets
  • Assisting in the preparation of asset management reports for Senior Management
  • Attending regular site meetings with external consultants where required
  • Assisting, where appropriate, the investment teams in collation and generation of relevant asset information and reports for acquisition, disposal and internal reviews of assets and the portfolio
  • Assisting with reporting to investors on a monthly and/or quarterly basis where required
  • Taking lead on various projects related to the Residential aspect of the portfolio, with assistance on the commercial portfolio

Requirements:

  • Property relevant degree preferred
  • Good knowledge of the workings of property management, experience preferred
  • Ability and enthusiasm for attending sites on a regular basis
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, excel and word)
  • Self-motivated, ability to deliver set objectives to timescales
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
