Job description

We have been instructed to find one of our large estate agency clients a Client Manager to manage one of their Single Family Home client's properties throughout the UK.

The company has a network of over 60 branches, together with asset and property managers, and provides an account-managed single point of contact service for developers and investors in the build-to-rent, single-family housing, lettings, and offshore markets, irrespective of portfolio size and geographical location.

Now, we're happy to offer you an opportunity to join their dynamic team as a Client Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position located in our Manchester or Derby office. You'll enjoy a standard workweek of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. The salary ranges from £28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Ensure the operational performance of the property management team meets and exceeds client expectations across the portfolio of properties.
  • Act as the main point of contact and ambassador for clients, aligning their interests and culture and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with clients to better understand their needs and provide a high standard of service.
  • Drive a customer-centric approach to operational management
  • Conduct property inspections to ensure quality service delivery and manage stakeholders' expectations.
  • Identify and capitalise on asset management and value-add opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Ensure periodic reports are submitted and presented in accordance with the PMA.
  • Lead, manage and mentor the property management team.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Commercially astute with previous experience managing residential portfolios.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and emotional intelligence in leading multidisciplinary, high-performing teams.
  • Capable decision-maker with a proactive attitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in property mobilisation.
  • Risk management experience, operating within a regulated environment and effectively managing risk.
  • Sound understanding of property, facilities, and estate management sector, with expertise in landlord and tenant relations, asset management, leasing, and property management.
  • Ability to handle complex and varied workloads in challenging situations.
  • Strong property and leasing knowledge, including legislation relating to residenital property management.
  • Excellent influencing and change management skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a drive to achieve results.
  • Approachable, empathetic, diplomatic, and a good listener.
  • Good networking and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong Excel and presentation skills.
