Development Manager

The role
- Drafting and maintaining project appraisals, budgets and programmes for the planning phase.
- Briefing, appointing and managing a team of professional consultants.
- Reviewing and interpreting planning policies for specific sites.
- Liaising with architects to develop and review schemes that are commercially viable and facilitate pre-application and planning submissions
- Working closely with the team members from Land, Delivery, Product and Sales to ensure schemes are designed holistically and within budget.
- Quarterly reporting to the board of directors and project partners for sites in the planning phase of delivery.
- Keeping abreast of the planning policy and political landscape.
Requirements
- RTPI or MRICS qualified or working towards qualification.
- Urban Planning or Real Estate degree or masters preferred.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in the UK planning/development field.
- Commercial awareness and ability to assess the financial viability of projects.
