Development Manager
I have partnered exclusively with a leading mixed-use developer to recruit a Front-End DM as a project lead for two mixed use schemes in London. These schemes are made up of industrial, living, and secondary commercial & retail (One scheme will also include education). In this role, you will focus on planning, feasibility, viability and design.
The role
- Develop, maintain, monitor and report against, detailed development appraisals, programmes and budgets
- Ensure the design of the development is progressively signed off internally at appropriate stages
- Monitor financial planning of development with the project financial controller
- Monitor Town Planning risks and negotiations in consultation with planning team and consultants
- Manage all negotiations with external stakeholders using relevant internal/external resources
- Ensure project appraisal is accurate and reflects the scheme
- Changes in appraisal resulting from design changes should be monitored and reported
What you need
- More than five years of experience in a front-end DM position
- Strong planning, feasibility and design experience
- Experience in a joint venture or collaborative project environment, particularly with local authorities
- Development aspirations are met in a cost-effective and timely manner
- Effective communication between the project team
