Facilities Manager - Brand New Luxury Build to Rent Scheme - Kings Cross - £45,000 - £60,000 + Bonus

deverellsmith are seeking a Facilities Manager for a brand new luxury build-to-rent scheme. This is an exciting position for the right person to be part of a dynamic and growing team.

As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of onsite staff at this brand new BTR scheme and overseeing other building openings. You will be part of a team that consistently achieves budgetary targets, demonstrates excellent value for money, and maintains compliance levels of our buildings, while ensuring our staff are high achievers.

As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for some of the most prestigious BTR buildings across London. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and provide line management support for a team of experienced Facilities Technicians. You will also be required to deputise for the General Manager and Assistant General Manager and have a full understanding of the wider business.

Responsibilities: Operational Excellence:

  • Implementing policy and procedure to ensure a consistent and 5* approach
  • Managing the compilation and implementation of efficient rotas including the scope of services for your site teams.
  • Ensuring budgets are monitored for financial performance to achieve and improve annual targets.
  • Ensuring contracts are in place to ensure the compliance levels for your building is maintained and in conjunction with the property management team that best value is achieved.
  • Developing a regime of quality assurance inspections for the building and present the results within a monthly report.
  • Ensuring all health and safety policies are carried out and adhered to.

Motivational Leader:

  • Attracting talent, recruiting and appointment of suitable staff to maximise staff retention.
  • Ascertaining and implementing training requirements and continuous development based on the competency assessment of all staff.
  • Providing leadership to direct reports, ensuring that workload and time are managed efficiently.
  • Ensuring a positive and cooperative atmosphere always exists.

Customer Service:

  • Building resident relationships and dealing with any issues or complaints.
  • Building strong relationships with the management team.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identifying new services, systems, practices, equipment, and training which can improve efficiency involving client and staff satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and assessing the success of initiatives and adapting plans and offerings accordingly.
  • Being up to date with current legislation and best practice, ensuring any relevant information is passed on and understood by the staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • IOSH and/or other related Health & Safety Qualification - Required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Soft and Hard Facilities Management
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience with managing H&S aspects within the business
  • Experience in procurement within the property management sector
