Are you a qualified accountant with real estate experience seeking a role that provides commercial exposure and exceptional progression opportunities? Our client is looking for somebody from a Financial or Group Accounting background to turn in to Finance Business Partners for their portfolio.

Due to exciting growth and a number of recent acquisitions, we are working with our client to recruit a Finance Business Partner to take ownership over a flagship asset within their expanding portfolio. This position would be well suited to a candidate from a reporting background seeking an opportunity that provides fantastic personal development and exposure to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Who are the client and what do they do?

They sit within a wider real estate group with an international footprint; a multi-national developer-owner-operator of real estate products and services who have a footprint spanning over 80 cities across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

The company has a growing investment and development portfolio. The development portfolio currently includes a mixture of residential developments an office development project in London. The investment portfolio also has substantial commercial assets within its portfolio across the UK. It is an exciting time to join a diverse and dynamic team in a growing business.

What will the main duties of the role be?

The position involves an appealing blend of financial reporting and business partnering, providing the chosen candidate with a diverse and broad role offering the variety that many roles lack. The key responsibilities include:

  • Submit monthly reporting packs and presenting month-end close highlights to senior management
  • Assist the Head of Investment Finance and Senior Finance Business Partner with management reports to the senior management team
  • Analyse Business Park performance against previous budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting annual internal and external audit processes
  • Provide insight to support achieving the wider business strategy
  • Ensure the reporting process is always adhered to, in line with the structure of a public listed organisation
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve key business objectives
  • Contribute to financial information present to the Finance Committee and Board level

What are they looking for in a candidate?

This position would be well suited to a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA) from a large corporate commercial real estate background looking for a role with more commercial exposure. Due to the nature of the role, it is crucial that the chosen candidate comes from a sound technical accounting background with the willingness to develop strong business partnering skills to help them take ownership of prestigious portfolio.

Excellent communication skills are essential and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
