Job description

This is a new opportunity to progress within an exciting business, providing in depth financial analysis. You will have overall responsibility of the day to day financial management of the UK business. This includes tracking and evaluating of results, helping assess risk, analyse efficiency and implement policy decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of cashflow statements, budgets and forecasts
  • Overseeing the financial team and managing the finance function
  • Ensuring financial ledgers and accounting processes are accurately maintained and update in line with company policy
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billings/ Cost Control / Credit Control / Debtor Control
  • Analyse revenue and cost from various cost centres and consolidate the results to prepare Daily revenue reports
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Auditing Revenue to ensure correct charges are posted
  • Reconciling General Ledger
  • Maintaining intercompany accounts
  • Overseeing all company expenses and auditing staff expenses
  • Credit Card and Bank reconciliation
  • Investigating any discrepancies and allowances
  • Preparing and submission of monthly payroll
  • Preparing a submission of quarterly VAT returns Responsible for maintaining petty cash
  • Preparing and submitting all Company Tax Returns
  • Managing Statutory Accounts process
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA)
  • Weekly head of department meetings

You will be required to be office based for this role. It is also essential that you have at least 5 years experience within finance, can demonstrate high quality of accounting principles. Strong excel skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

As Financial Controller of the UK operation you will be directly responsible for the staff in the department and for ensuring all internal and external reporting / statuary filings are adhered to in a timely and accurate manner.

It will be desirable if:

  • Experienced PMS system knowledge
  • Sage 200 / Xero / Microsoft Dynamics
  • MS Office & MS Excel Advanced
