Role Overview: As a Freelance Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of residential construction projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the site operations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your strong leadership and organisational skills will contribute to creating a safe and productive work environment, fostering collaboration among the project team, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, materials, and resources.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Provide leadership to the site team, motivating them to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain high construction standards.
  • Problem-solve and make quick decisions to address unexpected challenges that may arise during construction.
  • Keep accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, site diaries, and safety documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Site Manager role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Relevant industry qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work effectively under pressure.
