Head of Research - London and Hybrid working - package depending on experience

Our client is the leading subscription only service for recognised estate agents, relocation agents, valuers and surveyors in the London area. They have an unrivalled database covering all aspects of the prime sales and lettings market. They hold the largest hard copy archive of sales transactions dating back comprehensively to 1986 and a lettings archive dating back to 2005.

The company employs approximately 40 staff based in their offices in Battersea Square. Customer service excellence for their subscribers is at the core of what they do and they provide world class data and support to over 1000 clients in London. The Head of Research and Data Analysis has a key role as an external spokesperson for the business as well as being responsible for running the research and analytics department. The role involves analysing, interpreting and presenting the data for use by subscribers to the platform and the press.

Key Responsibilities, three key areas

Media:

  • To be a credible and engaging spokesperson representing the company in the press , this involves speaking with clarity and confidence at events, on TV and being quoted in the papers as required
  • Contribute to and write content for regular webinars, presentations, and blogs
  • Work closely with PR to deal with journalist requests for data and insight
  • Work to short deadlines to deliver data and insight to subscribers and journalists

Strategic:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to look for possible commercial relationships and opportunities not currently being explored
  • Work alongside the senior leadership team to plan and deliver research output
  • Grow the revenue and income opportunities by diversifying the clients who could make use of the data

Data:

  • Manage and interpret internal and external datasets
  • Build relationships with subscribers and address any queries regarding research and data
  • Presenting to the business and subscribers
  • Keep abreast of issues impacting the housing market
  • Author reports for clients and subscribers working closely with the marketing and PR teams

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within the UK/ London residential research sector
  • Educated to degree standard in an applicable discipline or relevant work experience to degree level in a similar role
  • A skilled presenter and public speaker
  • Excellent communicator and able engage a range of stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions
  • Excellent analytical judgement
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Ability to manage client relationships and work to strict deadlines
