Interim Clerk of Works
Sussex
£250-350 per day or up to £70,000 FTC

A multi-award-winning care home provider recognised for providing high-quality residential care and innovative facilities. With over 20 care homes in the South of England and Wales, they are currently looking for a highly accomplished Interim Clerk of Works to ensure quality standards are met on building 3 schemes based in the South of England.
The ideal candidate: will assess, not only, the execution of works undertaken by contractors and construction firms, but also review the materials used to ensure these are of the correct specifications and appropriate for the intended application.
The clerk of works will be responsible; for their principal role which is to inspect workmanship to ensure compliance with building regulations and client specifications.
They will also advise on and oversee aspects of Health & Safety and keep a log of any unexpected delays or events that may impact progress, for instance, supply chain issues with materials or a disruptive spell of adverse weather which halts work.
Qualifications:
- Construction-related degree or relevant experience
- Membership of the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (MICWCI)
