Job description

Are you a forward-thinking, highly analytical Marketing Manager who thrives in an innovative environment? Do you consider yourself to be at the forefront of the latest marketing technologies, including AI and automation?

My client is looking for a Marketing Manager to be the key driver of their marketing strategy, enhance brand visibility, strengthen lead generation, improve customer engagement, and drive growth.

As a self-starter, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the marketing tech stack, continuously identifying and integrating the latest tools and technologies to maximise online presence and efficiency. Your curiosity will lead you to challenge the status quo, fostering a culture of innovation not just within marketing, but within the wider company too.

Alongside your pioneering spirit, you'll be a whizz with numbers, capable of dissecting complex data to generate actionable insights. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of producing detailed monthly marketing MI reports, providing transparency and insight into marketing spend. Your reports will tell the story behind every pound spent, guiding strategic decisions and ensuring the maximum return on investments.

This role is perfect for a tech-savvy, data-driven marketing enthusiast who is not just comfortable with change, but actively seeks it out. Although much of your time will be spent on marketing, to thrive in this role you will also be willing to apply your skills across every area of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of marketing software tools and systems:
    • Marketing automation: Set up and manage marketing automation tools. Develop workflows to nurture leads and improve customer engagement.
    • Adoption of marketing AI tools: Stay up to date with the latest AI tools in marketing and implement them to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Marketing MI reports:
    • Produce detailed monthly marketing MI reports, providing insights into the allocation and effectiveness of the marketing spend, ensuring every pound is accounted for and optimised.
  • Data warehouse building
    • Lead efforts to build a company-wide data warehouse using tools like Tableau or Power BI. This will involve liaising with various departments to ensure data needs are met.
  • Lead on online marketing efforts:
    • Website optimisation: Improve the website's effectiveness by optimising loading speeds, design, and content.
    • SEO optimisation: Implement effective search engine optimisation strategies to increase organic traffic. This includes keyword research, SEO audits, link building, and on-page and off-page optimisation.
    • Google Ads: Plan, execute, and manage Google Ad campaigns. Optimise these campaigns for maximum ROI and conversion rates.
    • Social media strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across various platforms. This includes content creation, scheduling, and monitoring.
    • Online referral portals management: Manage and optimise the presence on online referral portals to increase brand visibility and customer acquisition.
  • Offline marketing support:
    • Provide support for more traditional marketing channels including regional press advertising, as required. Also develop ways of making offline marketing spend more accountable.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a marketing, data or innovation role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and produce clear, actionable reports.
  • Experience with marketing AI tools and marketing automation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, with experience in tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of website optimisation, SEO, Google Ads, and social media strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects.
