Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum

Position Overview: As the Planning Director, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of projects. You will lead a team of talented planners, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion. Your expertise will shape the future of London's urban environment while adhering to regulatory standards and community expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives that align with the company's vision and goals.
  • Manage the planning process for a range of projects, from concept to approval, in compliance with local regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders.
  • Evaluate site feasibility and provide expert advice on development potential and planning requirements.
  • Monitor changes in planning legislation and policies, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Present project proposals to senior management and key stakeholders, advocating for innovative design and sustainable practices.


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in planning, with a strong portfolio of successful development projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK planning laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance creativity with practicality.
  • Proficiency in relevant planning software and tools.
