Do you have 1-2 years experience within finance and are looking for that next step in your career?

I am working on behalf of the UK's leading Real Estate agency to find their next Accounts Assistant. Due to ongoing growth they are expanding their team. This role will be based in central London offering a hybrid working pattern and flexible working hours. You will be given opportunities from day one to progress through the business.

Working specifically on both the residential and commercial within Real Estate you will gain a breadth of knowledge into the property market, working alongside the Financial Controller on a daily basis.

Key duties include:

  • Preparing weekly TMA statements and reconciliation
  • Completing daily completion banking of fees and checking commission
  • Assisting, as required, with reviewing and monitoring debtors
  • Responsible for maintaining filing system
  • Assisting with income reconciliation
  • Assisting Finance Manager with ad hoc advisor queries and projects
  • Checking accuracy of fees and ensuring documentation on cases are correct
  • Managing provider statements and enquires
  • Ensuring all information on CRM system is correct, accurate and corresponds with paperwork
  • Requesting invoices and creating payment requests
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly reports to be sent out on a timely basis
  • Assisting in the production of ad hoc reports
  • Assisting with month end to meet deadlines
  • Cover for month end process in the absence of Finance Manager
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects and reports for the Head of Operations
  • Assisting admin team with ad hoc tasks as required
  • Undertake additional relevant duties as required

Training and support will be offered throughout the on-boarding process and beyond. This is a great role for someone who is keen to learn and progress within their accounting career.

It is important that you have the following:

  • 1-2 years experience in an accounts role or completed a finance qualification (degree or AAT)
  • Able to work pro-actively, positively, efficiently and effectively
  • Some experience with month end and production of management accounts
  • Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Have a can-do attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task
  • Confident and proficient using MS Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong accuracy
  • Able to work quickly and accurately using own initiative
  • Able to prioritise work and work well as part of a team
  • Confident and personable with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Flexible and responds well to new challenges
  • Desire to learn quickly, drive change and contribute to the wider team goal
