Are you a couple of years into your property management career and ready to take the next step?

Do you want to play a key part in an exciting transitional period for this development company?

My client is seeking an experienced Property Manager to mould and shape the department as they enter huge growth as a company. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will have autonomy of the role whilst getting plenty of exposure to the other arms of the business. Starting at the sole Property Manager, you will be responsible for implementing processes, structure and will soon be recruiting additional team members to join you. Based in Baker Street, their swanky offices will definitely catch your eye with their professionalism and approach mirroring this. Mainly working with HMO’s and period conversions, this development company are looking for someone who can really hit the ground running and knows their stuff.

What you will do:

  • Managing a residential property portfolio
  • Arranging and carrying out property visits
  • Addressing highlighted issues
  • Carrying out pre-tenancy works
  • Facilitate property visits
  • Arrange maintenance of properties during tenancies
  • Ensure that all issues are dealt with in a timely fashion
  • Arrange inventories, gas safety certificates, EPC's and other legal documentation
  • Liaising with both tenants and landlords on a daily basis
  • Assisting with service charge and ground rent calculations
  • Managing budgets
  • Managing tenancy renewals
  • Advise team members legal queries
  • Deal with check ins and outs
  • Serve legal notices
  • Chase rent arrears

What you will have:

  • Excellent IT literacy
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Demonstrable Customer Service and Management experience
  • Willingness to work outside of office hours and weekends to fulfil the function of the role
  • Ability to think on your feet and be reactive to situations as they arise in a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to work alone and on own initiative as well as within a team
  • At least 3 years in AST Property Management
  • HMO experience
  • ARLA qualification (preferably)
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Landlord & Tenant Act, RICS Code etc)
  • Proficiency in Health & Safety
