Are you an experienced Service Charge Accountant with managerial experience in real estate and want to work with one of the world's leading property agents? If you're looking for a new challenge and want to work on an exciting new commercial portfolio, our client is growing their Finance and Accounts department and are looking for a Service Charge Manager to join their team!

What you'll be doing:
As a Service Charge Manager, your primary role is to be the Lead point of contact for Client and for all onsite financial matters regarding the service charge and other associated funds managed by site.

  • Active role within the Senior Leadership Team providing management reports, data and analysis to support the Client, team and General Manager for strategic and operational decisions.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the Estate's financial processes are completed in line with company policy, authority limits and controls
  • Review costs model agreeing back to budget
  • Inputting service charge budgets onto accounting system
  • Review, monitoring and approval of purchase orders including Clients own approval process
  • Reconcile Supplier statement of accounts including SMR and utility providers
  • Monitor and reconcile EOW / insurance claims,
  • Cash Management and escalation of funding issues
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly service charge budget vs actual report (BVA) to be included within monthly management report.
  • Completing journals, accruals & prepayments
  • Carrying out mid-year reviews liaising with the site team, property managers etc
  • Completing tenant recharges and reconciling these
  • Responsible for Reserve fund expenditure
  • Responsible for the closure of service charge accounts

What you'll bring:
The right candidate will have experience in service charge accounting with strong management skills. They will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, be organised and be able to prioritise and plan work effectively.
