Hybrid Role, requires someone with extensive relationships with clients - HMO property owners and landlords
Our client is a growing company specialising in student services, dedicated to providing high-quality student accommodation options. They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to expand their portfolio by identifying and securing diversified student housing properties, with a pure focus on HMO properties in the UK.
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and establishing partnerships with property owners, particularly HMO landlords, to expand our student accommodation offerings. You will leverage your industry experience and network to develop long-term collaborations and ensure a diverse range of housing options for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop partnerships with HMO property owners and landlords in the UK and the rest of Europe.
- Conduct market research to assess viable student accommodation opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with landlords to secure housing options.
- Expand our property portfolio by exploring diversified student housing opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the HMO sector.
- Work closely with internal teams to align housing strategies with student needs.
- Stay updated with market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscapes.
- Develop and execute business strategies to ensure sustainable growth.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in the HMO sector or student housing sector.
- Established network and contacts with HMO landlords or student accommodation opeartors.
- Strong knowledge of UK housing regulations and compliance requirements for HMOs.
- Proven experience in negotiation, property sourcing, and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive business initiatives.
- Passion for student housing and improving accommodation options for students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the student housing sector.
- Familiarity with lease agreements, property management, and investment strategies.
- Understanding of rental market trends and student accommodation needs.
