We're seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Single-Family Rental (SFR) and Private Rented Sector (PRS) markets - with exciting opportunities to expand into Build to Rent (BTR) and Co-Living as part of a fast-growing, institutional-grade residential platform.
About the Opportunity
This is a unique chance to join one of the UK's most dynamic residential real estate groups at a time of rapid expansion. You'll lead new business growth across SFR, PRS, and emerging living sectors, securing partnerships with institutional investors, developers, landlords, and operators.
Working at the intersection of innovation and investment, you'll leverage your commercial insight and relationship-building skills to win mandates, management contracts and joint ventures - supported by a strong internal network spanning the wider group's property, asset management, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business across SFR and PRS markets, with additional focus on BTR and Co-Living opportunities.
Identify, engage and build partnerships with institutional investors, fund managers, developers and large-scale landlords.
Collaborate internally across the wider group to cross-pollinate leads, share insights and capitalise on group-wide opportunities.
Lead the full business development lifecycle - from prospecting and pitching through to deal structuring, negotiation and closing.
Partner with finance and reporting teams to support clients with scheme underwriting, operational modelling and performance advice.
Develop compelling business cases, proposals and ROI models tailored to investor and developer objectives.
Take ownership of the marketing and media plan, creating visibility across digital, PR, events and thought leadership initiatives.
Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity and regulation within SFR, PRS, BTR and Co-Living, feeding intelligence into strategic plans.
Represent the business at industry events and networking forums, building your profile and driving brand visibility.
Achieve and exceed targets for new contracts, pipeline growth and revenue.
About You
We're looking for a commercially sharp and highly motivated professional who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on deal execution. You'll thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and be confident engaging senior decision-makers in the investor and property space.
You will bring:
3-5+ years' experience in business development, partnerships or investment within SFR, PRS, BTR or residential real estate.
A track record of winning and delivering new business with investors, fund managers or developers.
A strong network (or the ability to build one quickly) across institutional and developer communities.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, able to engage confidently at C-suite and board level.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in underwriting support, investment analysis or operational planning.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to identify opportunities and turn them into results.
Experience managing or contributing to marketing and brand-building activity is a plus.
