My client is looking to recruit an ambitious, property driven Accounts Assistant to join their fun, bubbly office environment. They are family-owned Property Investment company, covering a mixed portfolio of Commercial and Residential properties in central London. The ideal candidate must be studying towards ACCA or CIMA. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop and grown within such a fantastic company.

The role of the Accounts Assistant will include:

  • Prepare rental schedules
  • Asset with management accounts
  • Prepare expense schedules
  • Calculate accruals / prepayment
  • Calculate interest on loans
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts
  • Prepare reconciliation of bank account to ledger
  • Prepare Fixed Asset Schedule
  • Post journals
  • Prepare a capital gain schedule
  • Reconcile VAT account
  • Compile an audit file for review
  • Ad hoc duties for Financial Controller / Accountant

For this role I’m looking for somebody with the following skills and past experience

  • Proven work experience in similar, small team
  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA
  • Minimum of 1 years property experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and solid understanding of IT systems
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of how a trial balance is drawn up
  • Working knowledge of double entry book keeping
  • Confident, mature, personable and bright personality
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, accurately

The salary for this role is up to £32,000 depending on experience with study support.
