Client Accountant

Role Responsibilities

  • Representing a key representative of the company, and being the face of the business to important clients, and responding to queries as they arise. This includes attending regular meetings with clients.
  • Effective cooperation with fellow client accountants to deliver core objectives.
  • Ensuring a maintained high level of accuracy on tasks such as; Client Records, Profit/Loss balance reporting, VAT Reporting, service charge reconciliations, and the gathering and updating of key client information on an ongoing basis.
  • Arranging and verifying reports in line with company policy, to regular timescales, and guaranteeing the appropriate reviews have taken place and been countersigned.
  • Regular reviewing of funding to assure client payments can be raised.
  • Monitor payments made on behalf of the client.
  • Regular reviewing of property expenditure, and resolving any issues with its accuracy with other branches of the business, as well as other stakeholders.
  • Oversee service charge reconciliations are completed in appropriate timescales.
  • Communicate with the credit team, and effectively relay arrears positions back to clients.
  • Responsible for the oversight of at least one junior assistant client accountant.

Personal Requirements

  • Experience within a Commercial Property Management company
  • Comprehension of basic-level financial reporting, bookkeeping, financial processes,
  • Understanding of property accounts, service charges
  • MS Office Skills
  • Appropriate accounts management experience, or similar
  • Excellent number skills teemed with a good written manner as well as strong people skills
  • Commitment to responsibility, organisation, and delivering excellent customer service.
