Having grown from two heads in 2016 to circa fifty at the present day, our client has enjoyed exponential growth and now find themselves in contention with some of the UK’s most-established developers. The development arm of a UK headquartered, multinational financial services platform, our client seeks an experienced project professional to oversee the delivery of in excess of 3,000 units across four new-build, residentially-led schemes, from offices based in Berkshire.
An end-to-end Development/Project Management role, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all four developments (ranging from 500 to 1500 units per site) are running to schedule and that key dates are being met. The role will comprise lots of pre-app and pre-site work, as well as involvement throughout the delivery phases. The appointee will work closely with the Land & Planning, Construction, Technical and Commercial Teams, making sure all deadlines (e.g. planning consents, drainage, tender docs, materials, landscaping and health and safety) are met and that slippage is minimised.
Our client is open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds but the qualities which have arisen consistently include: good construction knowledge; strong personnel management and admin skills; a highly organised mind. In terms of professional formation, the successful applicant could be any of the following: a Project Manager with another housebuilder; a consultancy PM with Employers Agent experience; a Contract Manager or Project Programmer; a Quantity Surveyor with pre-con and delivery experience.
