A Client side organisation has as an exciting opportunity to develop a host of new commercial facilities. This role is to lead the Commercial Development Team (CDT) across all Commercial space and development activities in the perimeter. You will undertake the following :

  • Identify and deliver development opportunities to maximise revenue and value.
  • Develop business cases and comply with internal funding governance processes
  • Negotiate and document development agreements for commercial development projects
  • Oversee management of Business Rates liability
  • Act as expert service provider to the Commercial team in the planning and recording of Commercial space and development activities
  • Lead the relationship for development on behalf of Commercial for all Development activity
  • Deliver revenue and value through commercial development
  • Develop a pipeline of development opportunities
  • Lead, manage and develop people within CDT and to play an active representative and contributory role in the Property Leadership team
  • Create and maintain Masterplans for current and future land and space utilisation
  • Act as a single voice in primary interface with the Development Team on behalf of Commercial and to establish appropriate service provider arrangements and governance with Commercial departments
  • Create and deliver commercial space and development business cases and projects on behalf of Commercial team and oversee them to completion
  • Establish commercial development projects and where necessary negotiate letting, development agreements, funding arrangements and oversee delivery
