We are working exclusively with one of the fastest growing Build-to-Rent developers and operators in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing business in which the selected candidate will have an opportunity to grow their own FP&A team.

Our client is looking for an exceptional qualified accountant with significant FP&A experience and they must be able to demonstrate a hands-on approach in their previous positions. In this role you will be reporting directly into the Managing Director and assist in the strategic decision making for the business.

The key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Provide key strategic decision support to both the Managing Director (MD) and Head of Investor Relations
  • Full ownership of the financial model including reviewing, improving and where necessary building a new model.
  • Create and present the Monthly Reporting packs including financial and non-financial reports and information for all current and future SPV’s
  • Manage and oversee the SPV budgets to show cashflow calculations including IRRs and annualised returns
  • Produce bespoke dynamic dashboards presenting key information to the Managing Director in a prompt and timely manner
  • Work with the Head of Finance to produce Initial capital outlay requirements as well as working capital requirements to the point of a self-sustainable asset.
  • Assisting in growing a world class FP&A team as the business develops in to a market leader
  • Assisting the MD and Head of Investor Relations with stakeholder presentations
  • Lead the preparation of the quarterly / monthly management reports and FP&A for half-year and year-end reporting.

The key skills and experience that this candidate will need is the following:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a number of years PQE
  • Strong FP&A background with excellent commercial instincts
  • Track record in presenting to senior board level executives and having an input in strategic decision-making process
  • Knowledge of dealing with Yield based valuations
  • Ability to build and manage a team in the medium term
  • Must have ability to build financial cashflow models from scratch using Excel
  • Experience in the Real Estate space is essential for this position, ideally in Residential, BTR or Student Accommodation.
