We have a very interesting development project management position with a charity based in central London, who own an enviable property portfolio, including the building they occupy.
They are in fact developing their own building, which is a large 4 storey 1920’s Listed Commercial Building, currently hugely under utilised. They plan to turn it into a mixed-use commercially lead building, adding another floor on top and retail on the ground.
Phase one will be running the planning process, submitting planning permission, engaging with and manage all stakeholders and pushing the development forward.
Phase two – will hopefully be managing the delivery of this unique and unusual project!
Ideally you’d be salaried up to £65,000 for at least 12 months, or they are happy to look at the equivalent day rate. They would also consider a more senior person who command a higher salary / day rate over a shorter number of days per week, likely a minimum of 3. This would definitely suit someone who wants that kind of flexibility, perhaps you’re returning to work or are semi self-employed.
Whilst they will need delivery experience, the front end and understanding of planning is essential for stage 1, plus preferably having knowledge of working in Westminster and listed building experience.
