Leasehold Management Team Administrator

Deverell Smith are representing a property company in Central London. The role is a Leasehold Management Team Administrator. The main focus for this role is the administration and processing consents and formalities relating to sales of properties and requests for permission or changes to lease terms specified in a variety of residential and commercial title documents.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administering the Landlord’s requirements as part of sales, transfers, re-mortgages and consent applications relating to our customers’ properties.
  • Liaise with solicitors and lenders during the conveyancing process, transfers, sales and re-mortgages
  • Interpret and understand legal documents (Lease/TP1/OCE/RX/TR1/LPE1) to ensure the relevant covenants relating to assignment, sales and re-mortgages are complied with.
  • Dealing with consents for assignment or transfer (if required by leases or TP1s)
  • Provide information about lease and TP1 requirements and generate Landlords’ information packs for sellers’ solicitors.
  • Process completion registration and Land Registry compliant certificates of compliance for buyers and solicitors.
  • Considering and processing applications for standard consents required in leases and TP1s, including subletting of property; keeping pets; minor alterations and works.
  • Reviewing and processing requests for variation and rectification of title documents; major alterations or extensions and liaising with external solicitors on the production of Licences and other documents required to record such consents.
  • Act at all times in line with the Company Values, integrating these in to all work practices.
  • Maintain accurate computerised and manual records.
  • Produce accurate information and reports for weekly/ monthly meetings.
  • Participate in team, departmental and corporate project and planning processes as required.

Candidate Experience & Attributes:

Knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements applicable to the transfer and mortgage of Leasehold and Freehold property.

  • Understanding of the legal conveyancing process.
  • Experience within the residential property sector, or within the property industry generally
  • Actively embrace and work within the Company Values.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly in writing and verbally, including drafting correspondence and documents
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a varied and demanding role with appropriate supervision.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and be organised and efficient
  • Demonstrable experience and ability to use ICT packages i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and enthusiasm
  • Pragmatic, creative approach to problem solving, with emphasis on fast and practical solutions.
  • Able to show an understanding of and commitment to good customer care.
  • Able to show an understanding of and commitment to property services and managing Landlord and Tenant relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience of taking responsibility for own actions and development opportunities, maintaining high levels of integrity.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and mutual respect; accepting differences and treating everyone fairly.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Qube
  • Law degree or other professional legal training or experience
  • Experience in dealing with solicitors, conveyancers and surveyors
  • Land Registry titles & Requisitions.

The role is based in Central London and salary up to £25,000 for the right candidate – dependant on experience.
