Project Manager – Client side developer

Overview

  • Salary: £50000 - £70000 per annum + strong package and bonus

The Project Manager would report directly into the Construction Director and help to lead all things with a delivery focus. You would be required to manage the construction activities on all development projects from feasibility, to practical completion to handover and maintenance.

Project Manager job role:

  • The Construction Manager would provide strategic input into the design and construction methodology of the projects.
  • Provide strategic input with the completion of Employers Requirements, Design Guides, specifications and contract documentation for tendering purposes.
  • Manage and provide remedy to any contractor and / or construction related matters.
  • Lead external consultant teams and Employers Agent to deliver all projects in line with Employers Requirements, specifications, programme, cost, quality and Health and Safety.
  • Develop, implement and manage a quality audit program, ensuring that builds conform to plans and specifications are of a high quality.
  • You would be required to lead, motivate ,communicate with, develop and performance manage direct reports to ensure that they are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company needs.

Candidate requirements:

  • Ideally have experience working for a private developer or UK based Real Estate, Construction Consultancy.
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICs or MCIOB
  • Degree level educated, with a relevant Real Estate degree. Solid construction background
  • Proven experience of planning, coordinating and providing leadership in the execution of residential and mixed use construction projects.
  • Knowledge of theory, principles and practices of value engineering.
  • Ability to delegate and manage multiple operations simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly asses the operational effectiveness of contractors.

Our client is looking for a motivated self starter who is capable of foreseeing problems and being capable of making the changes required. A strong personality that can work with people from all backgrounds and have different ideas about how schemes are to be delivered. It is important to have strong people skills and be able to report both up and down the management line successfully, to ensure schemes are delivered on time and budget.

Package: £50,000 – £70,000 plus a healthy benefits package and bonus
