Deverell Smith are supporting one of the largest Build to Rent operators in the UK, sourcing a Property Management Assistant to be based at their office in London Bridge.

Overview:

  • Provision of property management and administrative duties for an allocated portfolio, which may include a variety of tenures – including Reversionary, Assured Periodic and Assured Shorthold Tenancies in Freehold, Share of Freehold or Leasehold residential properties.
  • Working with the Property Manager to deliver agreed strategic KPIs
  • Provide a professional and proactive internal point of contact for all customers (tenants), general public, professionals, contractors and other departments.

Scope of job:

  • Support the Property Manager in managing a range of properties in the portfolio consisting of Freehold and Leasehold units.
  • Support the Property Manager in managing Capital expenditure.
  • Support the Property Manager in managing the Revenue expenditure budget.
  • Instruct and manage reactive and planned maintenance to timely completion, to include obtaining competitive quotations where required.
  • Provide general administrative duties and support to the Property Manager
  • Provide support to other Property Managers, Senior Property Managers and the portfolio where required.
  • Ensure the delivery of high levels of customer service at all times.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of two years previous & relevant experience working in the residential property industry as a Property Management Assistant or Senior Administrator.
  • Membership of a recognised and relevant profession useful, e.g. IRPM or RICS
  • Knowledge of residential tenancies including Reversionary, Assured Periodic and Assured Shorthold is preferred.
  • Excellent organisational skills must be demonstrated together with effective time management, consistent ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting, Outlook & ability to adapt to bespoke databases.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills must be shown.
  • Minimum GCSE level standard or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working independently and in a team. Evidence of building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential.
  • Ability to use own initiative to problem solve and take ownership and deliver on tasks.
  • Previous experience of generating and delivering reports (including written) both under own initiative and as and when requested.
  • Numerate and attention to detail essential.
