Are you an experienced Building Manager, Residence Manager or Operations Manager looking for a new challenge in your sector?

We are looking for a customer service driven individual in the AST property sector, to fill a unique and exciting role with a luxury boutique client in the Build to Rent sector. They are seeking a General Manager for their site in Croydon, South London, on a temp-to-perm basis. The successful candidate will be brought on full time if their temporary placement proves a success, due to the unique nature of this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience in property management, sales, lettings, administration, accounts, and HR, with a keen interest in London’s property market. The brand is primarily AST lettings with a big focus on high-end hotel level customer service, so previous Hospitality experience is very desirable in this role.

The site is positioned perfectly on the cusp of the new Westfields development due to open in 2023, part of a wider £5billion regeneration plan for the area. This means a massive opportunity for the right candidate to be the brand ambassador, creating a professional, welcoming environment for all who reside, visit, and work in the building, keeping and driving the high standards expected of the brand in order to stand out from competitors. Now for the technical details.

  • You need to have a strong understanding of residential lettings, tenancy and renewals, section 21 and 8, DPS and AST/licenses.
  • You should be used to driving aggressive short and long term financial objectives consistent with the company.
  • You must have a strong track record of dealing with tenancy contracts and renewals, Annual Operating Budgets, Service Charge Budgets, Marketing & Sales Plans, and Capital Budgets.
  • You need to have a strong grasp of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
  • You should be a natural leader, heading up all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and maintenance matters
  • It’s integral that you get on with the team, motivating and collaborating as required – working closely with a team of cleaners, maintenance staff, admin and external contractors where required. Alignment with the company culture will be really important; your personal values and methods will be vital in the success of this role.

The role is on a temporary basis with an equivalent salary of £40,000 per annum, with the eye to go perm if the fit is right for you and the company.
