Key responsibilities of a Senior Development Manager

Leadership: Leading a development team comprised of Project Managers, Planners, Architects, and Engineers

Identifying opportunities: Conducting feasibility studies to determine the viability of potential development opportunities and making recommendations to the executive team

Relationship Buidling: Relationship building and maintenance with important stakeholders such as landowners, investors, local governments, and community organisations

Negotiation: Contract negotiations with consultants, contractors, and other service providers, and also ensuring that they meet the specified criteria

Compliance: Maintaining compliance with essential legislation and regulations, such as building codes and environmental laws

As a Senior Development Manager, you must have strong leadership and communication abilities and a thorough knowledge of the property development process. You should also have good financial experience, including managing budgets and acquiring funding.
