Job description

Deverellsmith are looking for an experienced Building Services Manager / MEP Manager to join our client on a large mixed-used scheme in Wembley. Responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of all MEP systems within the development. Working closely with project teams and subcontractors you will ensure the successful delivery of MEP components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the MEP design and coordination efforts for the project, from pre-construction through to project completion.
  • Work with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into overall project plans.
  • Review and approve MEP design drawings, specifications, and drawings for accuracy and compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Manage the procurement of MEP materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project budgets.
  • Oversee the selection of MEP subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and monitor their performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect MEP installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Implement sustainable and energy-efficient MEP solutions to align with our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an MEP Manager in residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design and coordination software.

This is a permanent position for an on going project and as such it is important that you demonstrate longevity on your CV
