​As a Senior Development Manager, you manage the full property development process, from concept to final product.

A Senior Development Manager's particular responsibilities may include the following:

● Coordinating the development of several projects at once and assuring their timely, affordable, and high-quality completion

● Leading a development team comprised of Project Managers, Planners, Architects, and Engineers

● Conducting feasibility studies to determine the viability of potential development opportunities and making recommendations to the executive team

● Relationship building and maintenance with important stakeholders such as landowners, investors, local governments, and community organisations

● Contract negotiations with consultants, contractors, and other service providers, and also ensuring that they meet the specified criteria

● Maintaining compliance with essential legislation and regulations, such as building codes and environmental laws

● Managing project budgets and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the executive team

● Ensuring effective communication and collaboration between the development team, other internal departments and external partners.


As a Senior Development Manager, you must have strong leadership and communication abilities and a thorough knowledge of the property development process. You should also have good financial experience, including managing budgets and acquiring funding.
