This Assistant Management Accountant, Maternity cover role is working for a global Real estate developer

Purpose of the role

  • Working as part of the Financial Reporting team and to support and assist the team to ensure that all financial reporting is carried out in a timely and accurate manner
  • To be able to pick up tasks quickly and work with minimal supervision
  • Carry out treasury duties in terms of setting up payments, confirming beneficiary details and performing bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring that day to day transactions are posted in the accounting system accurately
  • Willing to assist other team members with adhoc tasks as and when required

General responsibilities

  • Performing bank reconciliations for all entities on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of monthly VAT returns for SPVs
  • Arranging bank transfers for funding notices and posting appropriate journals
  • Update appraisal portfolio summary on a monthly basis
  • Verify new supplier bank details and set up in the bank
  • Update credit check spreadsheet on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare SPV management accounts for a planning site and answer shareholder queries
  • Prepare management accounts for a management company
  • Deal with customer refunds and ensure that the refund process has been followed correctly
  • General assistance with the interim and final audit
  • Adhoc bank payments and transfers as requested

It is important that you ave the following attributes:

  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Willingness to provide assistance to the wider team
  • Attention to detail when carrying out the core tasks
  • Accounting knowledge to be able to produce accurate management accounts
  • Familiar with using accounting systems and ideally have used Microsoft NAV previously
