Job Title: Management Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant
Location: North West London - Office Based
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Summary:

We are exclusively representing an exciting property development company based in North West London looking to add to their Finance Team, due to continued growth. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, this role will be a chance for the successful candidate to step up and take on more responsibility.

The successful candidate will ideally have 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, within the real estate industry. They will be part qualified and looking to grow their exposure to the market and continue their qualifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Finance Manager with various areas in the preparation of Year End Accounts for Group related companies prior to being finalised and submitted to external Auditors for Filing.
  • Day to day book-keeping entries for Purchase & Sales Ledger. Bank reconciliations for Group Companies.
  • Assist with preparation of data for VAT returns prior to submission.
  • Expenses, credit card & petty cash analysis, reconciliation and posting.
  • Service charge and rental invoicing & reconciling.
  • Assisting with management of Fixed asset registers & movements on addition or disposal as well as monthly provision of depreciation and nominal ledger journals for management & year end accounts.
  • Assisting with Month-end supplier payment runs.
  • Support and work in collaboration with the Group Head of Finance on ad-hoc reports and tender documents related to the property & hospitality sector.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Part qualified accountant or QBE with 2-3 years' experience, ideally within Real Estate.
  • Analytical and detail oriented.
  • Familiar with Purchase, Sales, and Bank reconciliations.
  • Experience of performing accounting and bookkeeping tasks including posting of sales & purchase invoices, bank reconciliations & other analysis work including credit card / petty cash & managing supplier accounts and dealing with high volumes of payments.
  • Passionate about Property & hospitality sectors.
  • Team based work ethic.
  • Able to work on your own initiative & to time deadlines.
  • Articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, keen to learn and develop & takes pride in their work.
  • Able to identify the wider implications that their role has on the business.
  • Familiarity with use of MS Office Suite, QuickBooks and Xero would be an advantage.

This role is fully office based, 5 days a week, so you must be within a commutable distance of NW London. We cannot accept applications for people not living in the UK.
