Commercial Agency Surveyor
Up to £65,000 per annum
West Sussex
Deverellsmith have been instructed on a fantastic opportunity to head up an already existing market-leading commercial department in West Sussex. The successful candidate would be responsible for servicing the existing workload and improving the existing brand. There are also opportunities to expand the proposition into East Sussex and beyond.
Main duties:
- Taking a proactive approach in identifying business development opportunities both individually and as part of the team
- Undertake inspections of commercial properties, prepare marketing reports and strategies and carrying out market research to enable accurate marketing advice
- Undertake rent reviews, lease renewals and acquisition advice
- To carry out property searches and provide comprehensive advice directly to clients
- To report directly to clients and senior colleagues
- Developing and maintaining active communication both within the team and outside of the team
- Proactively seek out and secure new fee earning instructions
To be considered:
- RICS qualified is desirable with a track a proven track record in commercial agency
- Has a full driving licence and has access to drive a car for business purpose
- Strong verbal, numerical and report-writing skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic approach to problem-solving
- Computer literate, specifically with Excel and Word
- Good attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Ability to work closely with clients, tenants and other third parties
