Job Title: Financial Controller
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000
Location: Central London

We are representing a fast-growing Property Development and Investment Management Company located in central London in their search for a Financial Controller. With a growing portfolio that includes student accommodations, hotels, hostels, co-living spaces, and shopping centres, the firm is seeking an experienced Financial Controller with notable property expertise. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to leverage your existing skills while contributing significantly to the company's strategic financial management and growth.


Key Responsibilities (Not limited to) :

Key responsibilities are split between Projects, Fund and Group Strategic Finance matters including:

Financial Reporting
- Manage fund reporting with external administrators, accountants including quarterly
management accounts, year-end accounts, investor update, and annual audits.
- Oversee the financial reporting process for all SPVs/projects, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual P&Ls and balance sheets.
- Collaborate with external accountancy firms to ensure invoices and accounts are accurately recorded and prepared in a timely manner.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process.

Compliance
- Ensure compliance with debt financial covenants for projects.
- Fulfil various regulatory and statutory reporting requirements with respect to Funds and
project companies.
- Manage Investors KYC process.


Cost controls
- Manage and process invoices and payments.
- Review and challenge costs and invoices as necessary to ensure alignment with budget.

Financial Planning and Analysis
- Develop and maintain accurate budgets and cash flow forecasts for all projects and group
companies.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support investment decision-making processes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance finance operations and funding activities.

Tax Management
- Collaborate with tax advisors to optimise and manage various tax matters at the project, company, and fund levels.


The ideal candidate will be/have:

- Experience in real estate fund and project accounting
- Positive can-do attitude with willingness to learn and develop
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Experience in stakeholder management
- Strong IT skills, particularly in accounting software (Xero, Sage) and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
