Are you looking for your next move to offer variety, progression opportunity as well as job security? We are working with a client that continues to experience growth within one of the most in-demand asset classes globally. As a result, they are looking to increase capacity with the addition of a Group Accountant.

Despite their strong global presence, London is increasingly becoming the heart of their operations, leading to the need to expand their finance team here. With hybrid working, generous benefits and bonus packages and clear progression plans for everyone in the business, it truly is a great opportunity for any accountant interested in exploring opportunities.

The role itself will be varied in its nature, however the key duties will include:

  • Production of the Statutory accounts including preparation of trial balance for IFRS and overseas GAAP
  • Oversight of the statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors
  • Coordinating month, quarter and year-end schedules for reporting and compliance
  • Assist with the accounting for any corporate acquisitions, disposals, and consolidations
  • Support with quarterly risk reporting
  • Act as point of contact between finance and IT teams in the UK
  • Provide training with systems to the finance team and wider business when necessary
  • Review and improve systems when required to ensure best practice is being adhered to
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including Commercial Finance, Tax and Auditors

The role will suit an individual with a strong financial accounting background who is looking for an opportunity that provides broader business exposure that will truly impact the wider business. The core skills and experience that they are looking for from a candidate includes:

  • At least two years PQE within the property sector (ACCA/CA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Group reporting exposure would be strongly preferred for this role
  • Proven track record of working cohesively within a wider team is essential
  • You must have a sound financial accounting knowledge and strong excel skills
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external

The position offers a generous bonus of up to 25% and the company has a track record of consistently paying bonuses over the last 10+ years. In addition, our client offers an appealing hybrid working environment and recently refurbished offices that are truly best-in-class.

If this is a role you are interested in and you believe you have the right skill set then please feel free to apply. Alternatively, if you would like to know more information about the position before submitting an application then please contact Joseph Morris at deverellsmith for more details.
