Job description

I am looking for an experienced and creative Interior Designer!

My client a leading residential developer who are hugely influential in shaping the London property market. This position is for one of their incredible regeneration schemes in South East London.

Job Purpose:


The Interior Designer role involves seamlessly blending efficient space utilisation with aesthetic considerations, and effectively communicating design schemes. As part of the interior design team, you will oversee projects from inception to completion, supporting various teams including project management, marketing, and design. Your responsibilities will include interior and spatial design, managing proposals for show apartments, and coordinating CGI production for brochures. You'll be instrumental in ensuring designs and feasibility studies are executed flawlessly.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drafts based on agreed briefs for review and approval.
  • Collaborate with design and management teams to address planning factors such as budget, architectural preferences, and functionality.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Review and detail construction plans, estimating material requirements and costs.
  • Manage FF&E inventories/schedules and procurement processes.
  • Render design concepts via mood boards and CGI.
  • Utilise CAD and related software for design work.
  • Maintain brand standards and uphold quality in the final product.
  • Liaise with project and customer service departments as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Assist Marketing & CGI consultants in producing interior design concepts.


Technical Competencies:

  • Strong design sensibility, including colour theory and 3D visualisation skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills in SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, and Illustrator are beneficial.

  • Flexibility in working within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong time management abilities to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Attention to detail and openness to feedback.
  • Willingness to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
