Our client is an investor and operator, with significant expertise in the acquisition and management of residential and other alternative real estate assets, gained over 49 years of successful operations. Today, they own and manage £1.8bn of residential properties in the UK and over C$9bn globally.
The team comprises c. 50 dedicated investment, asset management and finance professionals based in its head-office and c. 100 property management professionals based on site. The portfolio of 3,600 BTR apartments and 400 student apartments is directly managed by their own resident-facing brand.
Role Overview
In order to support their growth aspirations, our client are seeking to hire an experienced investment professional, with a focus on adding value to acquisitions, financings, investor relations and strategic asset management processes.
The investment team (currently 5 people) manages all facets of the investment process from cradle to grave and workstreams include origination, research, transaction execution, debt financing, business plan oversight/strategic asset management, reporting and valuations. They also work closely together across the whole portfolio in a dynamic and collaborative environment, allowing you exposure across different disciplines. Each member of the team has different strengths and perspectives and the new team member will add to this strength in depth.. The new team member will have direct exposure to a number of senior real estate investment professionals from day 1 and have the opportunity to rapidly learn , grow and materially contribute to the continued success of the business.
Given the broad and direct nature of the business, we will consider candidates from a variety of backgrounds and experiences with the goal of finding someone who is, or who can, quickly become a senior investment professional with expertise in areas including the residential market, transaction execution/legal documentation, debt, numerical analysis and financial appraisals, investment strategy and asset management.
Does this sound like you?
- Degree Graduate with 5+ years of experience within a relevant role (investment, banking, corporate finance, real estate, etc).
- Real estate investment/transactions experience.
- Strong analytical, technical and financial modelling skills.
