Job Title: Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager
Location: North West London - Office Based
Salary: £35K - £45K


We are exclusively representing an exciting property development company based in North West London looking to add to their Finance Team, due to continued growth.

Reporting into the Group Head of Finance, this role will be a chance for the successful candidate to step up and take on more responsibility. They will offer the support and training needed to help the right person grow into the Head of Finance position. This position will involve leading and managing a small finance team too.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the finance function for companies within the Real Estate Investment, Development & Hospitality sectors
  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements including balance sheet reconciliations for Auditors
  • Oversee with the finance team, the monthly management accounts, VAT & CIS Returns and annual budgets for various strands of the Group
  • Carrying out the preparation of group consolidated accounts for UK entities under IFRS and UK GAAP including overseeing management of intercompany adjustments & reconciliations
  • Analyse and investigate annual and monthly financial accounts and prepare details for the year end audit as well as assist with reports to support to aid decision making at Board level
  • Proactive cash control; overseeing the credit control, sales, and purchase ledger; ensuring the team are accurately recording data for reporting purposes, collecting rentals in a timely manner and payments due from sale of real estate assets
  • Undertaking debt control responsibilities, ensuring aged debtors do not exceed set parameters and bad debts minimised through recovery procedures
  • Central management of bank accounts including overseeing of timely reconciliations & monitoring cash balances to meet budgetary requirements
  • Management of Creditors, ensuring payments in line with agreed terms and processing of information on a timely basis to support budgetary parameters
  • You will support the Head of Finance with the development, implementation and monitoring of processes & procedures which will evolve to meet the changing needs of a growing business;
  • Oversee the finance team to deliver on the objectives of the business as outlined in the job review
  • Oversee and take responsibility for the company secretarial duties across the group of companies and other functions managed internally by the Group.

Candidate Requirements

  • Part or Newly Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience in a similar role, within real estate
  • Supervision experience leading a team
  • Experience of reviewing and evolving systems and business processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, performance as well as outputs from the finance function
  • Good knowledge of finance systems, preferably Xero & QuickBooks, and MS Office

This role is fully office based, 5 days a week, so you must be within a commutable distance of NW London. We cannot accept applications for people not living in the UK.
