Deverellsmith are recruiting for an Aftercare Construction Manager on behalf of our client, a super prime residential developer who are experiencing a period of growth within the London market.
They are looking to add an experienced Construction Manager to their team to manage the remedial works on a central London scheme on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Role and Responsibilities
· Project / Defect works
o Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources
o Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
o Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements
o Coordinating access to apartments with house staff/residents
o Coordinating and supervising contractors and quality checking their works
o Coordinating insurance claims and works
· Administration
o Reporting and logging all defects on internal software systems and raising reports where necessary
o Ensuring the collection and filing of documentation for the building is up to date and easily accessible for all
o Finance tracking; obtaining quotes, purchase order numbers, tracking and chasing contractor invoices
Required Skills & Experience:
· Must have experience of working on a zone 1 residential project
· Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
· A proven track record of project development and delivery and demonstrable experience of pre-construction and construction phases delivery of multiple projects
· Knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods
· Project Management - ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for detail and quality
· Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices
