Are you an experienced Project coordinator looking to move into Project Management?

deverellsmith have partnered with a new D&B/consultancy start up looking to expand their team due to the number of projects coming up. This is a unique business that work in both the design and build, and consultancy sector- mostly delivering on office and retail spaces.

If you have some experience with project administration, dealing with suppliers, and able to help with the take off of projects, then this could be an opportunity to expand this skill into the management of your own projects

As an Assistant Project Manager you will work very closely with the Project Lead to deliver the full project life cycle across multiple projects ensuring the high standards and deadlines are met. Success in this role will require the development of effective working relationships with your peers, clients, suppliers, contractors, and senior leaders within the business.

What you need:

  • Strong work ethic, pro-active and a problem-solving attitude
  • High levels of organisational and time management skills with an excellent ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop, trust and build strong client relations
  • Previous project administration / management experience

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating client meetings and contractor site visits (attendance to meetings may be required)
  • Recording site meeting minutes and providing weekly updated reports for all clients
  • Producing cost schedules, quotes, take offs and supporting the Project Lead in managing cost plans and estimates
  • Preparing orders and highlighting high risk items on all projects
    Updating all project programmes
  • Preparing H&S documentation and general administrative items
  • Effectively communicating with all key stake holders within the business, including clients and external consultants
  • Carrying out visual, photographic, and measured site surveys
