Job description

New Homes Customer Care Coordinator

South London

Are you someone who enjoys a role in customer care?

Perhaps you have experience in this field and want to explore a new career option working in new-build London property?

Are you looking for a temporary position whilst you secure your new permanent role in 2022?

The new homes market in London is busier than ever, and so is the need for fresh and innovative talent to assist in the aftercare period following the sale of new homes and apartments.

Many clients are looking for new faces to join their team and marketing suite on temporary or contractual basis, guiding first time buyers in the aftersales process - administering keys, checking new-builds for any defects, and issuing a 5 star customer service before moving in.

What would I be doing?

As a coordinator in aftercare, you play a crucial role in the process prior to home owners moving in. This includes:

- preparing welcome packs and sometimes gifts for new buyers.

- logging any noted snags or defects of a new build and keeping a viliglant, up-to-date record of where/when they are fixed.

- administering keys and keeping equipment log organised via Microsoft programmes Excel, Word and Outlook.

- issuing said jobs to contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring any repairs are completed within a given timeframe.

- working site based and mucking in with any additional administerial or practical tasks to complete prior to move-in; a role where no two days are the same!

When would I be working?

A role in New Homes Customer Service offers good work-life balance, with most roles operating Monday-Friday, 9 - 5pm.

You'll work 5 days per week with two days off, and you will be required to work weekends.

You could also opt to temp on an ad-hoc basis, meaning you are available to call for urgent cover if someone is sick or on annual leave.

How would I be paid?

We pay all temping candidates on a weekly basis, every Friday. You can expect to make the daily equivalent of a 26 - 30k base salary, depending on experience. All your national insurance, tax, and pension contribution is covered as a PAYE employee. You also accrue holiday pay for each hour worked to use when you wish.

Is temping in New Homes for me?

Temping is a brilliant way to become an expert in your chosen field. By gaining experience in multiple development sites you'll rapidly increase your knowledge in new builds and add valuable working reiationships to your network along the way.

You could even find your ideal role through a temporary contract as many fills subsequently become permanent - you could be in luck if you land a temporary role at your dream organisation.

And if you've got other responsibilites or career persuits, temping gives you the flexibility you need to achieve your ideal work life balance, with more freedom to choose where and when you work, or even take a career break.
