The challenge

Our client, one of the UK’s largest professional landlords was steadily establishing their presence within the Build to Rent space. Due to their predicted growth and expansion, the business was looking to hire a Senior Acquisitions Manager and Director of Acquisitions within a short time frame. This required some urgency within what was at the time a highly competitive and candidate short market.

The solution

Due to the urgency of the positions needing to be filled, deverellsmtih suggested a retained approach so that our expert consultants could work on recruiting for both positions at the same time. With this, deverellsmith utilised their unique data and research function, mapping candidates that fell within the required experience for both positions, and specifically those who had experience within the living space.

With the majority of candidates being happy within their roles without the motive to move, we leaned on the success of our client and exceptional track record within the residential property to endorse the role to the potential candidates.

The results

The client found two candidates that fit their needs perfectly and filled both of the roles within the time frame required.

The candidates happily accepted and they both started their roles and are now supporting the business with its expansion.
