After successfully partnering with deverellsmith on a previous project within the US, Maximus Real Estate Partners assigned the client solutions division at deverellsmith on a continuous growth project which took place between 2022 and 2023.

The project team consisted of three specialist consultants who owned over two decades of industry experience combined. Each consultant’s outreach was underpinned by deverellsmith’s data and research function whose sole function is to identify the best talent whilst acquiring accurate market feedback.

From entry to director and senior leadership

The project was broken into two phases:

Phase 1 - focused on senior leadership and head office positions which took 3-6 months

Phase 2 - focused on onsite/customer service roles which were ongoing throughout the entire project timeframe

The project challenges:
  • A talent shortage swarmed the market - the project tailed the back-end of the pandemic boom, a time when candidates were hesitant to move.

  • Golden handcuffs - employees were very well looked after at their current companies, with attractive salary and housing packages.

The project solution:
  • Provide an advisory service - educate the leadership team with accurate salary, employee benefit, and package benchmarking data.

  • Apply an executive search methodology to the process - exceptional client and customer care, highly detailed and project reporting.

  • Data & Research - After the entire market was mapped and prospective candidates were identified, the team undertook a rigorous vetting process to sell the opportunity and attract the highest calibre of talent.
