Technical Manager - Residential Development South London | £85,000 - £95,000I'm currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a residential developer on a major scheme in South London.The project is a large-scale RC frame development of around 500 residential units across multiple blocks. The scheme is currently at Stage 3 design, so this is a great opportunity for someone to come in at an early stage, take ownership of the technical side of the project and see it through to delivery.You'll be joining at an important point in the development, with responsibility for taking the scheme through the Gateway process, developing the technical strategy, building out the project team and ultimately overseeing the technical delivery of the site.The role will involve:<ul ><li>Taking ownership of the technical delivery of a large-scale residential RC frame scheme</li><li>Managing the project through Stage 3 design and into construction</li><li>Leading the Gateway application process and ensuring the project meets all relevant technical and regulatory requirements</li><li>Managing design development, consultants and technical coordination</li><li>Working closely with the wider development, commercial and construction teams</li><li>Helping to build the technical/project team as the scheme progresses</li><li>Providing technical leadership through procurement, mobilisation and delivery</li><li>Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the project lifecycle</li></ul>What I'm looking for:<ul ><li>3-5 years' experience operating at Senior Technical Manager / Technical Manager level</li><li>Strong experience working on large-scale residential developments</li><li>Background with either a residential developer/client or a Tier 1/Tier 2 main contractor</li><li>Strong understanding of RC frame construction and technical delivery</li><li>Experience working through design development and into construction</li><li>BSR / Building Safety Act experience is highly desirable</li><li>Someone confident taking ownership of a project and working autonomously</li></ul>This would suit someone who is looking for a role with genuine responsibility and the opportunity to get involved early in a major residential scheme, rather than stepping into a project that is already well into construction.£85,000 - £95,000 + package

Technical Manager

Project Manager - RC Frame Residential South LondonI'm currently working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to bring an experienced Project Manager into the team to lead the delivery of a large-scale residential scheme in South London.The project is a substantial RC frame development, and they're looking for someone who can take ownership across the full project lifecycle, working closely with the design and commercial teams to ensure the scheme is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.This is a good opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys being involved in the detail and wants genuine responsibility for a project, rather than simply managing the construction team on site.The role will involve:<ul ><li>Overall responsibility for the delivery of the project from construction through to completion</li><li>Managing the site team and coordinating subcontractors and consultants</li><li>Working closely with the Design Manager to drive design development, approvals and technical queries</li><li>Working alongside the Commercial team to manage project costs, variations and commercial performance</li><li>Programme management, sequencing and ensuring key milestones are achieved</li><li>Managing client and consultant relationships throughout the project</li><li>Ensuring the works are delivered in line with the required quality, health &amp; safety and programme standards</li><li>Identifying and managing project risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery</li><li>Providing leadership across the wider project team and ensuring everyone is working towards the same objectives</li></ul>About you:We're looking for an established Project Manager with experience delivering large-scale residential schemes, ideally with a strong RC frame background.You'll ideally come from a Tier 2 main contractor environment and have experience managing projects where construction, design and commercial functions all need to work closely together.You should be comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and managing a project team, with the technical understanding and commercial awareness to challenge where required.This would suit someone who has experience on sizeable residential developments and is looking for a role where they can have a real influence on the project and its successful delivery.If you're an experienced Project Manager with a strong residential and RC frame background and would be interested in hearing more, please get in touch for a confidential conversation.
