Acquisitions Manager - Retirement Living Rentals Deverellsmith has partnered with an established property investment and development company, launching a new retirement living rental platform. In this role, you will acquire, refurbish and manage a large portfolio of age-restricted retirement flats across London &amp; the South East. The RoleYou will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and acquiring retirement flats, managing light refurbishments, and ensuring properties are ready for rental. The target is 10-15 acquisitions per month. Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>Sourcing opportunities through your network, estate agents, property portals, auctions and direct approaches.</li><li>Negotiating acquisitions at attractive discounts.</li><li>Coordinating and managing refurbishments - from light redecoration to new kitchens/bathrooms - using your own trade contacts or building a reliable team.</li><li>Appointing and managing surveyors for lease extensions and negotiating terms effectively.</li><li>Liaising with local agents to establish post-refurb market values and rental levels before acquisition.</li><li>Maintaining a clear and organised acquisitions pipeline (properties under review, offers made, in legals, refurbished, let, etc.).</li><li>Reporting regularly to senior management on progress and pipeline.</li></ul> About you <ul><li>Strong negotiation and communication skills.</li><li>Property experience, ideally including acquisitions, refurbishments, and lease extensions.</li><li>Organised and methodical, able to manage multiple deals simultaneously.</li><li>IT literate and confident in using property platforms.</li><li>Ability to build and manage relationships with estate agents, contractors, and surveyors.</li><li>Full driving licence (company car provided).</li><li>Willingness to travel extensively across the South East.</li></ul>
