As the Building Manager, you will play a pivotal role, not only in ensuring the smooth functioning and success of your properties, but in creating a vibrant, innovative customer focused experience for our residents and guests. Using your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on, you'll be the bridge between our customers and our business.

Your role will be more than just managing operations and your team - it's about crafting memorable living experiences for our customers and your commitment to excellence will shine through in every detail. Working closely with the Area Manager you will use your sector leading communication and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on to ensure your property is managed and performs at the best it can across all areas..

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from customer engagement, administrative duties through to building management, sales and strategic planning, all of these are aimed at delivering exceptional services to our customers.

Customer Experience

  • Rebooking and referrals should be a no brainer. Customers should do the sales work for us, as the experience you support in delivering will be better than they could have imagined. Waiting lists should be filled with eager enquirers who crave the magic only we can provide.

Asset Management

  • Manage and monitor appropriate health and safety compliance within your property, promoting a risk-free environment; drive a positive health and safety culture.
  • Oversee and support regulatory and compliance issues, as well as managing the financial performance of all the residence.
  • Lead continuous improvement and provide value added initiatives across the residence.
  • Take responsibility for asset mobilisation of any new properties in your area - to include the set-up of operational costings, people structures, standard operating procedures, recruitment of the teams and coordinating a meaningful onboarding experience in readiness of practical completion.
  • Provide and manage an escalation matrix in the event of an emergency, liaising with any press and responding to investors as appropriate.
  • Work with the wider operations team to drive consistent performance across the property.
  • Use your upbeat, open minded and outgoing personality to lead, mentor and guide the team to ensure that the student properties are running smoothly and new ideas are being welcomed.
  • Take pride in what you do and own it. Ensuring high standards within the property and the team you manage.

  • Excellent communicator. Articulates and reinforce our brand story, values and behaviours with your teams. With great skills in both written and oral English.
  • Problem-solving skills: Quick thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities are essential to handle unexpected challenges that may arise, such as converting potential customers or providing feedback to the wider team on how we can be even better.
  • Managing resources - Plans, coordinates and manages internal and external resources to accomplish role responsibilities and/ or assigned tasks.
  • Sales focused: Genuinely target driven and hungry to exceed KPIs with a positive attitude which filters across the team.
  • Interpersonal skills - Gives timely feedback and provides coaching to the teams to help them develop and grow to their maximum potential.
