Head of Business Systems - Yardi
Location: Central London (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 from home)

About the Company

Our client is an international real estate firm with a growing presence in the UK and across Europe. Their London office, manages a significant portfolio of residential properties including serviced apartments, build-to-rent schemes, and HMO accommodation.

The Role

We are looking for a Head of Business Systems (Yardi) to lead and evolve the company's core property management platform, Yardi, across the UK business. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will be instrumental in optimising Yardi functionality, driving system strategy, supporting integrations, and managing a team of two systems administrators.

This is a hands-on leadership role suitable for someone with deep Yardi experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working cross-functionally across operations, finance, leasing, and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the internal Yardi systems team, ensuring high performance, data accuracy, and strong user engagement

• Oversee the setup, configuration, and day-to-day maintenance of Yardi modules such as Voyager 7s, RENTCafé, Maintenance IQ, PayScan, CRM, and others

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align systems functionality with business needs

• Define and implement a strategic roadmap for system usage and improvements

• Manage vendor relationships, including external consultants and Yardi support

• Ensure compliance with data protection and industry regulations

• Lead user training and change management initiatives to support platform adoption

• Identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities

• Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues

• Stay up-to-date with system updates and industry innovations

About You

You're a confident and technically capable systems leader, with a strong background in Yardi and real estate operations. You're solution-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable operating across both technical and business domains. You're also someone who thrives in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of Yardi systems experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role

• Strong knowledge of Yardi Voyager and its modules; SQL/reporting skills a plus

• Demonstrated experience delivering successful Yardi implementations, upgrades, and integrations

• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience working in property management or real estate essential

• Yardi certification (YCS or similar) is advantageous but not essential

• Strong project management, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities

• A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Real Estate, or related field is desirable
