Job Title: Rural Surveyor / Senior Surveyor

Main Objective
My client is seeking a Rural Surveyor to undertake a varied and interesting workload, with a core focus on Estate Management and associated rural professional work. The role will support a range of private clients across the southern and southwest regions.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining key client relationships while contributing to the ongoing growth of the rural team. This is an exciting opportunity to form a crucial part of the regional rural division, with scope to develop your own client base and deliver rural professional services including: valuations, agricultural, commercial and residential tenancy matters, agri-environmental advice, project management, and hands-on management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage rural estates across Wiltshire and West Berkshire (and occasionally further afield), providing high-level strategic advice with direct client contact.
- Oversee day-to-day management including supervision of estate employees, and liaison with external professionals and advisors.
- Provide general professional advice on topics such as Landlord and Tenant matters, agri-environmental schemes, and residential management and compliance.
- Undertake valuations of a range of assets including farms, woodland, country houses, and landed estates.
- Support the Partners in identifying new business opportunities and expanding the rural client base.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective business plans aligned with the team's vision and values.
Person Specification
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- MRICS qualification.
- Proven track record in rural professional and management work.
- Experience delivering and managing multiple projects across a variety of clients.
- Strong client relationship management skills with an established professional network.
- In-depth knowledge of Landlord and Tenant matters (Agricultural Holdings, Farm Business Tenancy, Housing, and Landlord & Tenant Acts).
- Entrepreneurial approach, with a focus on client service and identifying new opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills and numeracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Proficient in MS Office and ideally experienced in property management software.
- Full UK driving licence.
- CAAV qualification (FAAV) desirable.
- RICS registered valuer desirable.
- Good regional geographical knowledge and local professional contacts.
